Together with the members – the LANDIs – fenaco forms a cooperative association according to Swiss law. Its head office is in Bern. The subsidiary companies of fenaco are largely organised as public limited companies. As central bodies, the Board of Directors and the Executive Board determine the fortunes of fenaco.
As of December 31, 2022, the fenaco cooperative consisted of 153 members (predominantly LANDI), 137 of which had business operations. These members, in turn, are in the hands of 41,515 individual members, the majority of whom are farmers. Membership in fenaco is open to cooperatives and other legal entities that pursue the same or a similar purpose as fenaco.
