The management trainee programme at the fenaco-LANDI Group is aimed at young talents. It gives them the opportunity to get to know the world of fenaco and LANDI inside out and to train as a future manager in Switzerland's most diverse agricultural enterprise.
On the fenaco management trainee programme, you'll acquire a wide range of knowledge in the fields of agriculture, retail, energy and accounting as well as controlling. You'll also learn how to apply the management tools used at fenaco effectively. After successfully completing the programme, you'll have the option of accepting a management position within the fenaco-LANDI Group.
What you offer
The fenaco management trainee programme is aimed at young talents with a proven practical track record in agriculture and relevant further training. Applicants must be willing to assume managerial responsibility. The requirements for participation are:
- Completion of a CET course in agriculture (for example, Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education as an Agro-Commercial Specialist or Agriculturalist, a BSc in Agricultural Science, or an equivalent qualification with proven practical relevance to agriculture).
- Clear motivation to assume a management role.
- Flexibility regarding moving around within the fenaco companies, divisions and regions.
- A convincing manner and the ability to work independently and to assert yourself.
- A flair for and interest in finance and business management.
- Good knowledge of German and French.
- Driving licence (category B).

During the management trainee programme, you complete assignments in various fenaco business units. These assignments last from a few days to several months and take place either in a fenaco region or at the national level. The content and duration of the assignments vary depending on the orientation and specialisation of the individual regions and your previous training experience.

How to apply for a management trainee place
We look for one or two management trainees for each of the four fenaco regions every year. We advertise the management trainee places in our list of job vacancies. You should base your application on the information in the advertisement. If you don't find a relevant vacancy advertised, please feel free to contact us outside the application period.

We'll check your application for a management trainee place carefully and, depending on the outcome, we will then contact you and conduct an initial telephone interview. If there is interest on both sides, we'll invite you to an interview in person, which will conclude with an assessment designed to evaluate your potential. You may then be called back for a second interview before the final decision is made.
